TRIBUTE TO PURITAS SPRINGS PARK

in the Rosenthal Room at
100th Bomb Group Restaurant, 20920 Brookpark Road

West Park Historical Society is commemorating Puritas Springs Park (1898-1958) which was located at the western edge of Puritas Road, on 80 acres overlooking the Rocky River valley. The park was home to the legendary Cyclone roller coaster, popular Roller Skating Rink, a beautiful hand-carved Merry-Go-Round, Kiddieland, amusement rides, arcade games and picnic grounds.

This tribute, 50 years after the park’s closing, will be held Sunday, 8 June 2008, noon-5 pm, at the 100th Bomb Group, 20920 Brookpark Road, in the Rosenthal Room with outdoor patio.

There will be historical photos on display, memorabilia, videos, games and treats for everyone’s enjoyment.

Admission is free.
